Pam from NewLifeDesigns

newlife_earringsMy name is Pam & I live in Tyler, Texas. I’m a mother, wife, & a granny. I’ve been making jewelry about 4 years now, & I absolutely love it. I’ve been creative all my life, but I’ve never connected with anything like I have with making jewelry. My inspiration comes from life, culture,& nature. I love everything about it, from going to the bead store, being surrounded by all those gorgeous, shiny beads & finding that perfect bead or stone, to sitting down & creating something that’s a little part of me. I’ve finally found my bliss! I can really get lost in the process & time seems to just disappear. It’s also a wonderful way of sharing myself with others, as well as financing my habit! ;-) Read more

Yarnbombing

PD*26392062Hundreds of knitters around the world have begun wrapping their huge woolly creations around public property like trees, street signs and lampposts.

They then take photos of their colourful “art” and post them on internet sites for fellow knitters to view and comment on.

One of the most ambitious pieces of work saw a woman spend an entire week covering a disused single decker bus in colourful swatches.

The phenomenon, called Yarnbombing, is thought to have originated in the US but knitters are now beginning to cover British streets in woollen ‘tags’.

Plugboards

Plugboards are a quick way to get some free targeted advertiging to your website. Plugboards that are placed on website that your target market will visit offer you a way to place a banner for free.

To place a link on a plugboard, you must have a banner available and located somewhere on your website. If the banner is saved in your computer, you will not be able to use it.

Most plugboards are looking for tiny banners that are 88×31. Some plugboards do accept 125×125 banners, and I have also seen some that will accept 468×60. Since these are all standard website banner sizes, it is a good idea to have some of each available.

Plugging your website is easy. Simply visit the website with the plugboard and look for the form below the board. This form witll ask for the web address of your banner and the address for your website.
Enter this information, click “PLUG”. and your banner will appear in seconds!

Many plugboards do have restrictions for the types of websites they will allow to be plugged. Be sure to follow these guidelines to avoid a website owner deleting your banners.
